A Parish Church

A Holy Redeemer church is not a simply a building. It is a community of the people of God; a portion of the flock of Jesus Christ. It is a Parish Church. When the flock of Christ outgrows its sheepfold, its parish, the Chief Shepherd of Christ, the Bishop of the Diocese, seeks new postures for his expanding flock. After he has established new boundaries for his new sheepfold, the Bishop appoints a pastor for this flock. The pastor in turn gather his sheep around him, builds a shelter for his flock and a new parish is born.

The Parish was astablished on October 11th, 1962, the day of the opening of the history Second Votican Council by the announcement was made from Rome, the center of the Christian World.
